Typography Cilon

A collection inspired by typographic characters, CILON harnesses the purity of cylindrical form and a unique modularity to establish a new lighting aesthetic. CILON’s seven lighting fixtures - or characters - can be cleverly arranged to create a compelling language of expression.

Using Rakumba’s Typography rail system, each light can be positioned anywhere on and around the rail to create a unique sculpture. Lights can be controlled independently of one another for a highly tailored lighting effect. Browse Rakumba’s curated suite of compositions, or create your own.

CILON is the first stand-alone collection in the Typography Series by Studio Truly Truly and Rakumba. Through its design and composition, Typography establishes a new language in decorative lighting.

Always mounted in pairs, the light is reflected and washed across the internal curves, providing a decorative sculptural element as part of your configuration (or as we like to say, your Expression) of Rakumba’s Typography system.

Typography® CILON Rib – taken from the simple geometry of two cylinders mounted side by side, Rib’s aesthetic is contemporary and pared back, yet also nods to Art Deco architecture.  Pure luxury.

Rib can be used as a stand-alone wall light or as part of a Typography configuration – or as we like to say, Expression.

When facing a wall, Rib provides a soft wall wash, and when facing outwards, Rib provides general illumination.

Studio Truly Truly

Truly Truly is a Netherlands-based design studio. It was founded by Australian husband and wife team Joel Booy and Kate Booy, and operates on the interface between industry and art. The duo runs a versatile practice, creating textiles, lighting, furniture and spatial installations.

Studio Truly Truly focuses on designing high quality products that combine technical ingenuity with new aesthetics. This results from an urge to dive deep into the production process, to push materials and techniques to their limits. Industrial processes are frequently combined with abstract organic details or forces of nature.
