Bailey

Distilling centuries of glass-working mastery into a captivating modern form, each Bailey pendant is carefully handcrafted by skilled glass artisans.

Using ancient Italian optic glassblowing techniques, Bailey pushes the intricate process into new territories, superimposing vertical flutes onto a softened diamond at a dramatic and challenging scale.

Beyond beautiful single pendants, Bailey’s tessellating form nests in multiples to build intriguing compositions, taking advantage of positive and negative space. A range of rich glass colours are offered to complement your design palette.

Bailey - Inside Making Beauty

The incredibly challenging oversized glass in the Bailey pendant was developed by a series of Australia’s premier glass artists at Canberra Glassworks, and continues to be produced by masters in the craft of glass blowing.

Using ancient Italian forming techniques, the molten glass is pressed into an optical fin mould to create a fluted impression, then expanded into a wooden mould that inverts the flutes onto the interior surface and forms a precise overall form full of fascinating visual refractions.

Tom Fereday

Tom Fereday develops products based on the principle of honest design – celebrating the manufacturing processes behind furniture and products, and designing from the inside out. He strives to create enduring designs that are meaningful to people and their environment.

Born in Australia, Tom grew up in England studying at the Wimbledon School of Art before moving to Sydney to complete an Honours in Industrial Design at the University of Technology Sydney. He founded his studio in 2012 and currently works with leading design brands across Europe and Australia.  As a multi-award-winning designer, Tom exhibits internationally on a regular basis.
